27 October 2014
CALLING FOR A WORLDWIDE MOVEMENT ON WORLD HARMONY DAY 20TH FEBRUARY 2015 TO STAND IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE
Dear President Jacob Zuma,
THE TIME IS NOW TO ACT FOR THE SAKE OF GREATER HUMANITY!
This was what Obama said, “Let us reach for the world that ought to be, that speaks of the divine, that still stirs within each of our souls.” This is what I am trying to achieve and when you join hands with me, I know we can make it a reality.
If a country is OCCUPIED and the people are OPPRESSED and their human rights are removed by force and violence, is that the world “that ought to be”? If they suffer degradation and are so systematically demoralized that they have lost their sense of being part of humanity, does that “speak to the divine”? When they are hated for no other reason than for being Arab and being there, and they are slaughtered by ethnic cleansing as their homeland is stolen, is that what “still stirs within each of our souls”?
The Occupier Israel is the TERRORIST and the victimiser. The people being OPPRESSED are the VICTIMS. The Palestinians are a proud, dignified and brave people with so much courage they will never surrender. They will fight to the last man standing for their freedom, their rights, their land and their humanity.
THE PALESTINIANS HAVE NO MILITARY, SO WHO ARE THE REAL ANTAGONISTS? RESISTANCE TO OPPRESSION IS NOT TERRORISM WHEN THE OPPRESSOR USES TERROR TO TAKE AWAY THE LAND AND RIGHTS OF THE OPPRESSED.
Of all the countries in the world, South Africa is the only country that can fully understand the plight of the Palestinian peoples and I am sure you will do whatever you can within your power to free them from oppression and stand up for their rights. The Israeli and Palestinian conflict is a root cause of one of our world’s most significant problems, and for world harmony to be a reality, the citizens of the world must take action to right this wrong.
Do you think the BRICS would be willing to carry this ‘BIG BURDEN’ and lift World Harmony Day to an even greater height by bringing the world to a Spiritual Oneness by hosting WHD event on 20th February 2015 in your respective countries? If the critically important BRICS decided to take this responsibility, perhaps you could form the “World Harmony Community” to continue promoting World Harmony Day in perpetuity.
Mr Mandela said that as long as the Palestinians are not free, none of us will be free. We hope you can give us your support by hosting World Harmony Day on 20th February 2015 in Pretoria. Thank you for considering my request to join us in this important quest.
For your knowledge I have also written a similar letter to Sweden PM Stefan Löfven , President Vladimir Putin, President Xi Jin Ping, President Dilma Rousseff & Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Love, light, peace, harmony and unity,
The hamlet of Dahiya, Beirut, gave its name to the Israeli doctrine that targets and destroys villages of civilians (Photo: before and after the Israeli assault, Google Earth/ Amnesty International).Published 25 August 2014Israel is implementing the Dahiya Doctrine in Palestine at the moment, argued Michael Ratner, legal adviser to Wikileaks. The doctrine is named after the village of Dahiya, in Beirut, which was destroyed during the 2006 Lebanon War (also known as the Israel-Hezbollah war).
In an interview with The Real News, Michael Ratner, also President Emeritus of the Center for Constitutional Rights in New York, discussed his work with 2008 Wikileaks cables fom the U.S. embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel.
In the cable from the U.S. embassy Israeli army officers mentioned the “Dahiya Doctrine”. One of them, General Eisenkot, said that, in relation to the doctrine, “Israel will use disproportionate force upon any village that fires upon Israel … causing great damage and destruction.”
Eisenkot was very clear that it was not a recommendation, but an already approved plan – from the Israeli perspective, these are “not civilian villages, they are military bases.”
